placing an order

When you have chosen your design, make a note of the design name and click on the “place an order” button. You will be directed to the order form, which includes a Special Instructions field where you can request any changes such as colors, wording, fonts etc. Please refer to our custom designs section for more details on customization. After the order form has been submitted, we will design your proof, which will be e-mailed to you along with an invoice.

payments, security & privacy

You will not make any payment until you see your proof. You will receive an invoice via e-mail, which can be paid once you have approved your proof. We accept payments via PayPal, where payments are made using credit cards, debit cards, or bank account transfers. Because we have teamed up with Paypal, you can be assured that your transactions and personal information will be secure. If you have any questions about the security of PayPal, please visit the PayPal Security Center. We understand the sensitivity of your personal information and we will NEVER sell or share your information with other parties. Personal information is only required for order confirmation and billing purposes.

sending a photo

After you have completed your order, please e-mail your photo(s) to info@ringobaby.com, with your full name or your baby's full name as the subject line. Please do not crop the photograph. Acceptable file formats are JPEG and TIFF. We will crop your photo as necessary, and change it to black and white or sepia tone, depending on the design and your preference. We can also remove distractions from the background, or remove a scratch or blemish from your baby's face - please use the Special Instructions field for any requests. The quality of the finished product will depend in part on the quality of your photo, so a high resolution photograph is preferred. Please refer to our Photo Tips section for additional information. Original photos can be sent to our contact address via U.S. Mail, and will be returned with your order.

proofs

We will e-mail a proof of your card for your approval before it is printed. Please review your proof carefully, as changes cannot be made once the printing process begins. Please be aware that colors can vary slightly based on monitor settings. We've made every effort to represent our designs accurately. Due to the wide range of computer monitors and color displays, however, you should consider the colors you see on your screen to be representational. The color of your actual card may be slightly different.

quality

All of our products (with the exception of Magnet Announcements) are professionally printed onto high-quality, acid-free cardstock. All designs are continued onto the back side of the card, giving your card additional quality and style. We feel that cardstock provides a traditional, timeless elegance that cannot be matched by photo paper.  All of our products (with the exception of Magnet Announcements) offer paper choices at no additional fee: our pearl paper gives your card a subtle, shimmery finish; our linen paper has a slightly textured finish for a delicate, elegant look.  And most importantly, we are dedicated to spending as much time as is necessary to make your design look absolutlely perfect - we take so much pride in our work and nothing makes us happier than make you happy!

timelines

You will receive a proof within 1-3 business days of your order being placed. Orders typically ship within 3-5 business days after receiving approval of your proof. Please note that magnet announcements require 1 to 3 weeks production time.

shipping

Shipping and handling is a flat rate of $9.95 per order within the contiguous 48 states. Shipping transit times are 2 to 7 business days from when the order leaves the West coast. Free pick-up can be arranged for local orders (Portland, Oregon). If you require faster shipping, or you are outside the contiguous 48 states, we are happy to accomodate. Please e-mail for details.

choosing your design

If you are having trouble choosing your design, we would be happy to help. Just e-mail us the pictures you are planning to use, and we will give you some suggestions. We can even send you proofs of several different designs with your baby's photo from which you can choose. We do not group our designs by gender, multiples, or adoptions, because any design on the site can be adapted to fit your needs. Just let us know how we can create your perfect design!
